Stay Safe, Stay at Home and Be Productive
We hope you and your loved ones are safe and sound! This is such an interesting time, surely extremely challenging to many, many of us. However, we need to be strong and thoughtful, to respect the ones on the front line and also to contribute with what we have. Be mindful, only spread and share information that you have double-checked and take care of the vulnerable, both physically and mentally. It is a stressful time, so if you have a friend who has anxiety, check on them — it might be a great challenge for their mental health. If you have one yourself, don’t shy away from asking for help. We love you!
Our next projects
Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, all of us, NGO teams and cultural managers who organise events, trainings, Erasmus+ projects and bring people to learn together, are now in a difficult and insecure situation. As you see, it changes day by day, but we are surely doing our best to act at our best capacity to handle it.
The projects that we have selected the participants to already will receive news and guidelines as soon as we know if the dates will remain the same. However, there is a chance that those projects will be postponed so we are sure the threat of the virus is already contained by our healthcare institutions and medical treatments.
We are waiting for more recommendations by the Erasmus+ Programme and the French national agency on the need to reschedule training courses scheduled for the second part of the year.
Nomadways will keep working on designing new projects! Our team has tons of ideas and a great community of artivists to implement them with — it’s just that they will take place later on.
Support your local… artist, cultural manager, NGO
Our association will appreciate any support that you might be able to give us! In times like this, people working in the fields of trainings, culture, event management, music, art, entertainment… suffer the Coronavirus outbreak in an economical aspect instantly — our sources of income are cut without knowing when would get back to normal. Therefore, we are super thankful to anyone who would like to donate to our cause here.
What to do now?
Staying at home is not that bad. If you are lucky enough to be at home at the moment, use this “quiet” time to spend with your closest ones (if you live with them), to read all the books and articles you didn’t have time for; to go through all the online lessons on your bookmarks and advance with your creative work! We have some useful ideas for you:
More resources
We came up with this list of awesome online resources and things to do whilst staying at home:
❂ This is a great moment to boost your creativity. Here are 10 creative online courses you can take for free now.
❂ Embodied activities are crucial to keep yourself healthy during the lockdown. Have a look at these yoga online opportunities — in Polish, in English, in Bulgarian.
❂ Looking for books online? Hop, a few places to visit: Open Culture, The Open Library, Gutenberg, CEEOL, Metmuseum publications
❂ Why not visit some museums you didn’t have the time to see before? And some more as well.
❂ Universities also published some classes online, hop on here!
❂ Or attend a virtual concert? Remember, you can also see past concerts of your favourite band on youtube too :P
❂ Still bored? There is a whole selection of all sorts of activities here! Enjoy!
❂ Meanwhile, here are financial resources for artists because of the Coronavirus outbreak.
