- apply here before 15 April 2017
- partners: We are looking for organisations and groups active in storytelling, visual arts, creative digital tools, queer work.
About the project
The process of understanding and expressing one’s sexual orientation and gender identity is unique to each individual, an important aspect of a young person’s identity. It is not an one-time event and personal, cultural, and social factors may influence how one expresses their sexual orientation and gender identity. Unfortunately, queer youth experiences various challenges because of how others respond to their sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.
“Digitale” is a storytelling workshop that will aim at exploring the challenges that young queer people face. We will use the power of digital storytelling and building a safe environment where young people will feel free to express as much as they want and need to; and will tell their own stories by using creative visual and digital tools.
Target audience and expected result: queer youth to participate in follow up initiatives from the participants and the general audience to raise their awareness about queer issues and become more inclusive.
What we will create at this project: digital tales, documentary movie and booklet with learning process and outcome.

About the project
Many millions of young people already carry ‘smart’ phones but a phone on its own is not smart. It helps its user to make smarter decisions. Current developments in information technology are creating opportunities for a new generation of connected objects, integrated intimately into the everyday fabric of our lives to bring social change.
Our project aims to create educational tools using performative arts and concept of Internet of Things (IoT) to educate young people about gender and to help foster greater equality, inclusiveness and empowerment.
We are looking for partners who can bring creative youth and social workers, educators interested in gender issues and digital tools as well as artists dedicated to performing arts to develop site specific performances using connected objects that put the youth worker and young performers in the centre of creation, laying a bridge between artistic creation, technology, active participation and social change.
Target audience and expected result: youth to participate in follow up initiatives from the participants; community building through interactive art in public spaces; general audience to raise their awareness about gender equality issues and become more inclusive.
What we will create at this project: performances, movie clips, documentary movie and a booklet with learning process and outcome.

About the project
“Expeditions” aims at empowering youth workers to develop methods for creation of learning programs to engage and motivate young people to deal with their surrounding natural living rural or/and urban environment on mental, social and physical levels and use these environment as fields to explore and express their creativity. The final goal is to help young people to increase their participation in the use and definition of their public spaces and to encourage them to be physically engaged in their environment.
Specific learning programs are to be developed during this project as “Expeditions” meaning a journey undertaken by a group of people with a particular purpose, especially that of exploration, research, or development through creativity to reach educational goals. Thus the aim of this project is to develop capacities of educational organisations in acquiring skills that would empower youth workers to provide possibilities for young people to take part in such learning programmes that involve elements and context of their immediate living and working environments.
