Body and Mind: a connection for life

Think of the body as a method of education. Because it works in a really amazing way!

When we think about intelligence, knowledge, and learning, we usually think only of the mind, separating it from the body. The latter have been consistently excluded from traditional education, which focuses mostly on reading books. But should it be this way?

“Exploring Embodied Learning” in Italy.

Our strategic partnership project “Embodied Change” happened as a lovely collaboration, coordinated and managed by “Room of Fulfilled Dreams”, between them, us and our friends at “Nest” (Italy). The main topic of the activities was the importance of the body and movement-based learning during… well as you will see… everything we do in our lives. After three super inspiring learning activities, we’ve created several tools to help young people, educators and youth work practitioners in their work.

What we’ve created!

Now, we are super-duper proud to show you what all the people involved in the process created! Look our online course that is aimed at empowering young people (but wait… also adults!) to use their voice, be proactive, and take actions in topics that are important to them. It can be used alongside with the embodied learning toolkit, which contains six decks of cards with text and awesome images, and will stimulate your creativity and ideas. Pretty cool, huh?

You can also check out our podcast where we are meeting with experts from different countries, discussing the importance of the body and movement-based learning in education and also giving some tips for practical work. One of our guests is Pierre Goirand — an expert in the field of Embodied Leadership and Collective Intelligence, who talks about how our body movement impacts our professional performance, while Sandra Gojic (trainer and facilitator) is getting more personal by sharing how contact improvisation changed her self-perception and confidence for better. Our other guests also have some inspirational stories to share, so don’t miss them out!

We would like to thank the whole inspiring team for their work and dedication! Meet the people involved in this project right here.
